Double Dragon Trilogy App Reviews

Controls, graphics, difficulty not at all matching expectations. I was very excited at the possibility to play this classic. Hopefully some updates will be made to improve this game to a considerable level.

I have recently got into to the double Dragon series and have had a lot of fun with this app! However I noticed a few things are missing. For starters co op mode is pretty much unplayable, I dont like the fact that it doesnt tell you how many credits you have and the title screens and world map from dd 3 are missing. But my biggest gripe is the fact that you have to play as Billy, I really think a character selection would be great especially in double Dragon three with the different character types and three players. It would be great if you added a character select so I could choose to play as Jimmy, Sonny and the other brothers in dd 3! Otherwise the app runs fine and Ive had lots of fun with it!

Its a great app and it seems hard because of the clumsy controls. Works best with a controller. But what the heck is up with the third installment? Its slow and distorted? Please fix this soon. If youre thinking of playing with a friend forget about it theres so much lag I hate that you could only play with Bluetooth maybe if it was through wifi it would be good. Please consider adding the following - multiplayer over wifi - double dragon 3 lag issue and sound - and the multiplayer lag Im playing this on my iPhone 6 plus 64gb 8.1.1 with the latest app update

I was looking for Double Dragon in itunes originally coming across Double Dragon Neon. Not awful but not what I was hoping for. Then one day the classic trilogy appeared and gave me exactly what I wanted with not just the first game but all three! Thanks for producing such an awesome conversion of some classic games.

Almost impossible to get past the first part of the temple thing with the blocks coming out. That part in the arcade game was a money maker. I lost 6 lives and ran out of continues. But up to that point just the joystick sucked

It was my pleasure purchasing this 25 years old plus game. It was just like yesterday at the arcades, waiting in line just to play these series. If youre an old school or modern gamer, youll love this die hard, born to beat em up classic game for life!!!

Like it, but wish it was like the original ones on Nintendo

Love this game I always liked it in the arcade. There have been many emulations but this one is right one exactly like the original and the remix music is also cool. Five stars all the way!

I remember being about 5 yrs old and seeing this game and being able to play a round here and there. Only would get a quarter or 2 and would die rather early and this just makes it so much better because I can die as much as I like! Me and my friend spent a lot of all nighters playing 2 when we were kids. Greatest NES game ever!

Getting co-op to work is kind of difficult cause it keeps crashing; but the arcade and story play is awesome. Playing 2 and 3 for the first time ever.

Its pretty good port of the arcade originals. Things just get a little sloppy because of touch controls. Makes me wish iPhone case controllers were less expensive.

This port is great, and Im personally a HUGE fan of the Double Dragon series. The game stars Bimmy and Jimmy Lee, 2 great characters. (See what I did with the DD3 NES typo.) Basically, the games are beat up dudes, save the girl, and beat the game. Id love to beat these 3 ports in this app. I LOVE Double Dragon. Id like to complete that love by beating the games. But to me, theyre too difficult. And if there are enemies behind you, youre facing them, and you get up, you face the opposite direction of the enemy, and you get hit more in an endless cycle. Reduce the difficulty, fix the enemy facing issues, and then maybe Ill give it a better rating. Thanks!

Very awesome app brings back a lot of child hood memories only for true double dragon fans

Virtual controls are a let down but the game is still pretty good. When you stop moving you hit it seems in random directions, which is a pain. Still. Easy to finish. Last one (3) is totally jumpy and seems broken. Not sure what thats all about.
